Services
NRA Home Firearm Safety
This course is designed to teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of guns in the home. It is useful to all firearm owners, both shooters and non-shooters alike. It has been successfully adapted to train first responders (EMT’s and Fire Fighters) the proper handling of firearms. It is useful to first responders to know if firearms they may encounter are loaded or not, and to safely unload them.
NRA Basic Pistol
This course is designed to teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Students will learn about pistol safety, nomenclature, ammunition, and shooting fundamentals. This course covers all types of handguns.
NRA First Steps Pistol
This course is similar to BASIC PISTOL except that it is presented on a one-on-one basis or in small groups and uses the students’ own handgun as a learning tool. NRA FIRST STEPS PISTOL is highly recommended as a prerequisite to the NRA PERSONAL PROTECTION IN THE HOME course.
NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home
This course is designed to teach the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for the protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding citizens’ right to self-defense. This course is one of the requirements to obtain a Michigan Concealed Pistol License.
NRA Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading
This course is designed to enable shooters with little or no experience in reloading to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to produce safely reloaded metallic cartridges.
NRA Basic Shotgun Shell Reloading
This course is designed to enable shooters with little or no experience in reloading to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to produce safely reloaded shotgun shells.
Reloading ammunition offers many benefits. Reloading provides an opportunity for shooters to produce economical and accurate ammunition, while being environmentally conscious.
Supervised Range Time
This service provides shooters an opportunity for guided practice at a shooting range to improve shooting skills. Expert advice is part of the service. This time can also be used to pre-qualify for classes and to meet concealed pistol license renewal requirements.
